Telegram chatbot that answers clients while you are busy
A Telegram chatbot takes over the first replies to clients: while you are busy, it greets people, answers from your data, collects contacts and passes to you whatever needs a human. Below is how a Telegram chatbot is built on our platform, which two modes it runs in, and what to check before launch.
How a Telegram chatbot is built on our platform
One bot on the platform is one record in the settings: a Telegram token, a persona (character and conversation rules), a knowledge block, a model and a few parameters. To add a new Telegram chatbot nobody rewrites code or restarts the platform; you add a record. So launching a bot for a new project is configuration, not development from scratch.
Bots of different projects live on one platform, and each has its own rules, its own knowledge and its own message log. Knowledge is kept apart: a bot searches only its own base and never looks into someone else's.
Two modes: a regular bot and Telegram Business
The regular mode is familiar: the bot lives at t.me/name, a person taps Start, sees buttons and types a question. The bot link can be tagged, for example t.me/name?start=site, and then you see where the person came from: the site, an ad or an email.
Telegram Business mode connects the Telegram chatbot to your personal account. Telegram settings have a "Telegram Business" section with a "Chatbots" item: a connected bot answers in your personal dialogs on your behalf. The mechanism is described in the Telegram documentation. Connection conditions depend on your account settings, so we check them before launch instead of promising anything in advance.
For a do-it-yourself build there is a ready n8n template with seven nodes: an incoming message, the last ten replies from memory, one call to a language model, sending the answer and writing to the log. According to the template description, setup takes about ten minutes.
Memory, typing indicator and voice
The Telegram chatbot remembers the conversation: the platform loads the last twelve replies of the chat, while the full message log is kept. Before answering, the bot shows "typing…", so the exchange feels like a conversation and not like an answering machine.
In Telegram a bot can understand voice messages and answer by voice. We switch this on selectively, not for every bot. For voice agents in general, see the Voice AI agents service.
Editing a Telegram chatbot without stopping it
Character, rules, knowledge and texts live in settings, not in code. Changes are picked up within 30–60 seconds, with no reinstall and no stop. You can adjust the tone or add a rule and a minute later check how the bot answers the same question.
The bot never writes first, and that is right
Telegram does not allow a bot to start a conversation with someone who has not pressed Start or written first. For a business this is protection: your Telegram chatbot cannot turn into a source of spam. Mailings and soft follow-ups go only to people who came to the bot themselves; details are on the page about the lead capture chatbot. The bot's entrance is protected as well: the Telegram webhook accepts requests only with a secret header.
What you can see live
The booking demo runs on the @horeca66_bot bot, shown on the page about the booking chatbot. The shop of ready products has its own bot, @asibots999_bot. Answers drawn from documents and price lists are covered on the page about the AI chatbot on your data.
For a do-it-yourself build we sell a starter kit for $49: a server scheme on Supabase with lead-magnet delivery, soft follow-up, owner notifications and anti-ban rules, plus a thirty-minute setup guide. It is in the shop.
How much a Telegram chatbot costs
A chatbot on our price list starts at 510 $. The "Start" package (a landing page or a chatbot, a one-off project) starts at 770 $: it also includes responsive design, SEO and a request form, which is why the numbers differ. Prices are indicative and the final cost is set after a brief. We do not name launch dates without a brief. The calculator is on the pricing page.
FAQ
Do I need Telegram Premium for the bot to answer on my behalf?
Connection conditions depend on your Telegram settings, so we check them before launch. We will not promise in advance that Premium is or is not needed.
Will the bot write to people first?
No. Telegram does not let a bot start a conversation with someone who has not pressed Start or written first. Follow-ups and mailings go only to people who came to the bot themselves.
Can I change the bot's answers without stopping it?
Yes. Character, rules, knowledge and texts are stored in settings and picked up within 30–60 seconds, with no reinstall.
